Absorb the rich history

Snapshot of Corowa Howlong Mulwala attractions

Play a round or two at the beautiful Corowa Golf Club, Howlong Golf Resort or Yarrawonga Mulwala Golf Club.
2. Sample handmade Belgian-style chocolate at the Corowa Whisky and Chocolate factory in the old flour mill.
3. Luxurious spa treatment or high tea? Your choice (or have both!) at Circa 1936 in the centre of the Corowa township.
4. Get your adrenalin pumping on Lake Mulwala behind a ski boat or aboard a jet ski. Or take to the sky in a parasail to see the lake in all its glory from above.
From Howlong in the east downstream to Lake Mulwala, this stretch of riverine beauty is a must for history buffs or lovers of nature and the outdoors.
Corowa is an engaging little town with big claims on history. Regarded as the birthplace of Australia’s Federation, a visit to the Corowa Federation Museum is a must.
Get active on the many walking trails throughout the region, get your feet wet with waterskiing or windsurfing lessons or enjoy the sandy beach where families can relax by the Murray River.
Golf anyone? It wouldn’t be the Murray without a choice of well-tended, challenging courses. Howlong’s 18 holes, Corowa’s 27 holes and Mulwala's 45 holes should be enough for even the most passionate player.
If it's family fun you're after, then this region offers plenty of options from Tunzafun Amusement Park in Mulwala to horseback riding in Howlong and some fantastic family friendly events.
For something deliciously different, grab some amazing chockies at the Corowa Whisky and Chocolate Factory (or get the kids to make their own). Stock up for a picnic at the local farmers markets, explore the Rutherglen wine region for its famous big bodied reds and varietals and – of course – don’t miss the chance to cast a line and catch your own. It doesn’t get any fresher than that!
