Day 1

The Albury Wodonga region boasts a number of excellent courses, making it a great place to start your tour. The Peter Thomson and Mike Wolveridge designed Thurgoona Country Club Resort, is perhaps the pick here with a 6372m layout that will challenge golfers of all abilities. Closer to town, the award-winning Commercial Golf Club is a highly-regarded course, with broad tree-lined fairways and immaculate greens.

Travelling downstream, stop for a round at the beautiful Howlong Country Golf Club en route to the historic town of Corowa and the 27 hole Corowa Golf Club, home course of PGA and European Tour pro Marcus Fraser.
Next stop is the Yarrawonga Mulwala Golf Club Resort, renowned as the largest club on the Murray at 45 holes, spread over three courses wedged between the Murray and Lake Mulwala. Of the many spectacular holes, the par 5 on the Murray Course is impressive, with the fairway running along the north side of the Murray River.
While you’re here, plan a round at the brand new 5938m Black Bull Golf Club, beautifully designed by Peter Thomson and Ross Perrett and nestled on the Yarrawonga side of Lake Mulwala.
Further west, the Cobram Barooga Golf Club boasts the famous 6176m Old Course with its traditional design and fast greens, or the modern links style West Course. A short drive further down river brings you to the excellent dual 18 hole championship courses at Tocumwal Golf Club, one of the Murray’s top rated courses among golfers in the know.
