The Albury Wodonga region boasts a number of excellent courses, making it a great place to start your tour. The Peter Thomson and Mike Wolveridge designed Thurgoona Country Club Resort, is perhaps the pick here with a 6372m layout that will challenge golfers of all abilities. Closer to town, the award-winning Commercial Golf Club is a highly-regarded course, with broad tree-lined fairways and immaculate greens.
Day 2 - 5
Travelling downstream, stop for a round at the beautiful Howlong Country Golf Club en route to the historic town of Corowa and the 27 hole Corowa Golf Club, home course of PGA and European Tour pro Marcus Fraser.
Next stop is the Yarrawonga Mulwala Golf Club Resort, renowned as the largest club on the Murray at 45 holes, spread over three courses wedged between the Murray and Lake Mulwala. Of the many spectacular holes, the par 5 on the Murray Course is impressive, with the fairway running along the north side of the Murray River.
While you’re here, plan a round at the brand new 5938m Black Bull Golf Club, beautifully designed by Peter Thomson and Ross Perrett and nestled on the Yarrawonga side of Lake Mulwala.
Further west, the Cobram Barooga Golf Club boasts the famous 6176m Old Course with its traditional design and fast greens, or the modern links style West Course. A short drive further down river brings you to the excellent dual 18 hole championship courses at Tocumwal Golf Club, one of the Murray’s top rated courses among golfers in the know.

Detour north of the Murray to the Deniliquin Golf Club, with 18 holes magnificently situated between town and a state forest.
Echuca Moama, with its historic port area, beautifully restored paddlesteamers and wide range of accommodation and dining, is a justifiably popular Murray destination. In Moama, Rich River Golf Club is an outstanding 36 hole resort with the challenging East and the established West courses and excellent resort facilities.

Cohuna Golf Club is a welcoming local course set among the river red gums on Gunbower Island. You’ll be playing in the talented footsteps of nine time PGA winner Stuart Appleby – this is his home course!
Detour off the Murray Valley Hwy here to CluBarham on the NSW side of the Koondrook Barham twin towns, where the Ross Watson-designed championship course is set in natural bushland and boasts slick greens.

Swan Hill is a scenic, historic river town and just 5km north is the outstanding Murray Downs Resort and Golf Club, consistently rated among the top Murray River courses. The flowering gums, artificial lakes, magnificent greens and challenging layout make it a pleasure to play, though the signature fifth hole, a par 3 requiring a big tee shot to carry over a lake, might keep you awake at night!

Day 9 – 10
The final stop on this golfing itinerary is Mildura, a sunny and prosperous town where you can combine golf with wine touring, paddlesteamers, fine food or a houseboat holiday. Choose from the top rated championship course at Mildura Golf & Country Club Resort, with its broad fairways; the scenic Riverside Golf Club with Murray frontage; the highly rated Coomealla Golf Club at Dareton; Merbein Golf Club; Red Cliffs Golf Club; or the Wentworth Services Golf Club. Spoilt for choice!
