The number one spot along the Murray to hire a houseboat, Echuca Moama are decent-sized twin towns that have grown around the site of a popular river punt crossing in the 1850s. With a vital timber trade developing all around it, Echuca quickly became an important wharf town.
With all the amenities of a big town, Echuca also exudes colonial charm, particularly along the wharf where olde worlde attractions rub shoulders with modern interpretations of history.
