Murray River Road

Koondrook and Barham

The twin towns of Barham (NSW) and Koondrook (Victoria), ooze charm and character galore. Perfect as a base to explore the towns and surrounding area.

Not surprisingly, many activities here are based around the Murray River including wetland cruises, fishing, camping, bushwalking, boating and canoeing. Combine these with a diverse range of eateries, a collection of unique country retail shops and niche farm gate experiences.

Speaking of farm gates, the Backroads Trail is a guided drive through the rural area north of the Murray between Barham, Moama, Mathoura and Deniliquin. It’s simple to navigate and highlights include fresh food, wineries, bird hides, sawmills and more.
