Re-live childhood holidays with a night or two in a caravan or cabin beside Lake Boga, just 15 minutes south of Swan Hill.
The lake itself is all about boating and waterskiing and sun and fun. The nearby Lake Boga Story Wall is one of six national symbols of reconciliation in Australia. The artist and designer, Zhou Xiaoping, incorporated symbols of the region – the land, the water, and the people – onto this stunning hand-cut glass mosaic sculpture. Well worth a visit, as is the renowned Flying Boat Museum.
This impressive museum showcases Lake Boga’s vital role as a secret repair and service depot for flying boats during WWII. The highlight here is the beautifully restored Catalina flying boat from WWII.
The foreshore area near the boat ramp is also home to a popular twilight farmers’ market every Saturday afternoon from 4 pm from November to March.
