Come for the water action, stay for the … water action!
Waterskiing, fishing and boating are the go at Urana, with most visitors camping or checking into a cabin at the caravan park. The man-made lake is surrounded by walking tracks, barbecue and picnic facilities, and even outdoor exercise equipment for the gym junkies in your crew.
Keep your feet on dry land by visiting the free-flight aviary, but keep your eye out for the famed giant spider and goanna. Don’t worry; they’re sculptures!
Urana gets its name from a local Aboriginal word that means ‘temporary shelter’. Take the town up on this promise and stay a day or two on your Murray River roadtrip.
