June long weekend

Spend the long weekend in Deni

Sick of lockdowns and curfews and rings of steel? Head to Deni this long weekend. We’re not far from Echuca, and have a weekend of fun and festivities planned.

What to do

Aside from riverside walks and campfires, here's what's on our calendar for the June long weekend:

Rug up and head to The Crossing for the Moonlight Cinema, where you can enjoy an outdoor screening of The Dry (2020). Tickets include a delicious dinner, and there will be plenty of hot drinks and snacks available to keep you warm. Tickets essential, grab yours here.

Pick up from fresh produce and local goods at Naponda Farmer's Market in Cressy Street. The markets kick off at at 8.30am and run through until lunchtime. After the market, grab a coffee and stroll through Deni's CBD, Cressy Street and the Waring Gardens have recently been upgraded and are looking beautiful - the gardens are the perfect location for a picnic lunch.

Ute it up, afterall, you're in the Ute capital of the world! How many Utes can you spot over the weekend... Take a snap at the Ute on a Pole, stop by the iconic Deni Ute Muster gates, see the ReUTElise sculpture, and visit some of utes at The Depot Historic Collection.

If you've got the kids with you, why not head to one of the free movie screenings! Screenings of The Croods a New Age (2021) and Dreambuilders (2021) are being shown at Deniliquin Baptist Church. Check out the details and grab your tickets here.
