On The Move

The Sun Country on the Murray covers a large area both north and south of the Murray River. Right across the region our towns and smaller villages have plenty on offer through the cooler months. The North East Silo Art Trail is an immensely popular self-drive tour that reaches into the Sun Country. In our region, a highlight is the beautiful birdlife depicted on the Tungamah Silos, painted by street artist Sobrane Simcock in 2018. Take a detour through Numurkah to see Sobrane’s 20-metre long mural on the side of Meirlo Cafe in McPherson's Arcade.

Another reason to hop between towns is to experience the renowned golf courses of the region. A brisk winter morning is perfect for a round. Take your pick; we have a different course for every day of the week, and 180 holes in total to challenge and delight any golf enthusiast. Travel the Murray region from Yarrawonga Mulwala, through Cobram Barooga and Tocumwal, then north to Finley and south to Numurkah and Nathalia. Stop off each time for 9, 18 or even 36 holes of golfing paradise.
