Getting to Cobram Barooga and Around

Cobram Barooga is located north of Melbourne, on the Murray River and the Victoria and NSW border and forms part of the Sun Country on the Murray region. You can get to Cobram Barooga by car, by bus and train and by air. Once in Cobram Barooga it is easy to get around.

By Car

Cobram Barooga is a three hour drive from Melbourne, following the Hume Highway and Goulburn Valley Highway (through Shepparton).

Tocumwal and Yarrawonga both have small airfields for private aircraft.

Albury Airport is located 1.5 hours east of Cobram Barooga, and Qantas Link, Rex and Virgin Blue service Albury. Hire a car or catch a V/Line or Country Link bus from the airport.

Tullamarine Airport is an international airport and located just under 3 hours from Cobram Barooga. Hire a car or travel on public transport from the Melbourne CBD.

Thomson's Bus Lines operates the Cobram town bus service that runs on Tuesdays and Fridays.

Departs from the terminus at Willow's Caravan Park on Ritchie Rd and runs via Ritchie Rd, Cobram-Koonoomoo Rd, Murray Valley Hwy, Punt Rd, Main St, High St (Post Office), Broadway St, O'Dwyer Av, Elizabeth St, Stokes Av, Karook St, Warkil St, Gregory St, Punt Rd, Campbell Rd, Murray Valley Hwy, William St, Hume St, Hovell Ct, then via Hume St, William St, Main St and High St to the terminus at the Post Office. Return trip commences from the terminus at Cobram Post Office and travels via the above description back to the Post Office terminus then continues via Market St, Terminus St, Broadway St, Murray Valley Hwy, Ritchie Rd and Cobram-Koonoomoo Rd to terminate at Oasis Village.

NOTE: This service operates on Tuesday and Friday only. Bus operates to medical clinics on request. Phone bookings available on 03 5872 1800.

Cobram Barooga Taxis have 3 Taxis and a hire car available for corporate work. Two taxis are wheelchair capable and one is a maxi taxi which can carry 7 passengers. Call 03 5871 1111 to book.
