Ulupna Winery makes single vineyard wines produced with reverent respect of the environment, terroir, wine-making tradition, ancestry, present and future patrons, directed to rejoice at the contemplation of good life.
Ulupna Winery is situated in the Goulburn Valley in Victoria, neighbouring Barmah National Park, amongst the Red Pepper trees and majestic River Red Gums. Nestled next to the Murray River, the mineral-rich alluvial soils and distinctive climate create a terroir unique to Ulupna.
The name Ulupna identifies the location of the vineyard winery and cellar door. The name identified the local Aboriginal clan of the Yorta Yorta tribe, and historically was also the name of the wider region that is Ulupna. Possessing a number of meanings, the most commonly known being strong women.
Goulburn Valley Wine Region dates back to the 1850s with some of the oldest Shiraz and Marsanne vines in the world. Wineries here produce award winning wines using the region's signature grape varieties, which were originally sourced from France's Rhône Valley.
Ulupna Cellar Door is open by appointment.
