Four Seasons of Sun Country

Sun Country is blessed with four true seasons – each one distinct and offering a surprising range of activities and attractions.

As every golfer knows, every time is the perfect time to tee off. With the lure of magnificent riverside fairways and manicured greens, Sun Country offers some of the best golf in the world. Cruising our rivers and lakes, sampling fresh produce direct from the farm gate, and spending time with family and friends are also popular all year round.

No matter what time of year you visit, you’ll be spoilt for choice in the Sun Country on the Murray.

Winter in Sun Country

Explore our region’s produce, enjoying wine tastings and delicious meals by the open fire. Enjoy one of our river or lake cruises, soaking up the bright sunshine on a quiet afternoon, or try your luck fishing for the prized Murray crayfish.

The Murray Farm Gate Trail winds around Sun Country and introduces you to 14 of our region’s best producers – from honey and olives to whisky and strawberries, everyone will be satisfied. While you’re driving watch out for the vibrant colours of fruit trees in bud, canola crops glowing bright yellow and native flowers in bloom.
