Safety Guidelines

Please take note of the following guidelines for your safety:

  • Avoid camping or parking under large trees, as they may drop branches without warning.
  • Be aware of river hazards, including strong currents, deep water, submerged objects and rope.
  • Do not dive or jump into the river, or use swings attached to trees or other structures.

REGULATIONS IN VICTORIA

  • Fires: Permitted on all days which are not Total Fire Bans. Fires must be consistent with the specified fire regulations.
  • Dogs: Not permitted in National Parks. Permitted in Regional Parks and Murray River Parklands. Must be on a lead or under effective control at all times.
  • Motorbikes: Permitted on formed roads only. Registered and licensed riders only.
  • Rubbish: Take in, take out
  • Toilets: Chemical toilets are recommended but earth pit toilets are acceptable. Pits must be located at least 100m from any watercourse.

REGULATIONS IN NEW SOUTH WALES

  • Fires: Permitted on all days which are not within the Solid Fuel Fire Ban period or Total Fire Ban period.
  • Dogs: Not permitted in National Parks. Permitted in Regional Parks. Must be on a lead or under effective control at all times.
  • Motorbikes: Not permitted in motorbike prohibited areas. Victorian recreational registration illegal in NSW.
  • Rubbish: Collection points available at some sites. Take in, take out everywhere else.
  • Toilets: Chemical toilets are recommended but earth pit toilets are acceptable. Pits must be located at least 100m from any watercourse.
