Flowing north-west from Benalla to its meeting with the Murray near Barmah, the Broken Creek offers great access and fine fishing. Head to Nathalia, stock up for a riverside barbecue, and relax down near the bridge at the top end of town.
Further downstream, the majestic heritage-listed Barmah Lakes are a camping and fishing paradise. Peace and tranquility is the order of the day as you set up camp, cast a line and soak in the quiet. Nibbles or not, you’re sure to bag heaps of relaxation.
