History buffs must make a pilgrimage visit to the historic Bonegilla Migrant Experience, a place that was home to 320,000 post-war migrants between the 1940s and 1970s. Lake Hume is the perfect spot for adrenaline-pumping water sports such as skiing and jet skiing as well as fantastic freshwater fishing, boating and swimming. On land, explore the 80 kilometres of bike trails or tee off at the challenging championship golf courses at either the Commercial Club or Thurgoona Golf Course.
