Spend a couple of nights with the family in Mulwala for fun-filled activities in, on and around the water. It’s all within easy reach.
Whether you’re planning a short getaway or a longer stay, there’s plenty to do for people of all ages in our region. Here’s just one plan for enjoying family time together on your next visit.
While there are lots of hotels and motels, and excellent self-contained options, why not book a cabin in Mulwala at Tasman Holiday Park, the Ski Club Holiday Park or the BIG 4 Yarrawonga Mulwala Holiday Park?
The grown-ups can stock up on supplies for an easy barbecue while the kids explore the old steam train and Purtle Park Adventure Playground in the lake side playgrounds.
Kick back with the family and watch the cool evening give way to bright starry nights over Lake Mulwala. You can literally feel the stress of day-to-day life evaporate in the breeze.
Sunny Spring days means it's time to get out on the lake! Post COVID the whole family will love lunch and drinks aboard the PS Cumberoona paddlesteamer or the MV Paradise Queen, but for now the Lake Mulwala can be admired as you walk or cycle along the Kyffins Reserve track.
Tunzafun, right in the heart of Mulwala, features fun for kids that adults will love too. Try mini golf, dodgem and krazy cars, and don’t miss flying above it all in the chairoplane. We average 84% rain-free days here, but if the weather is a little cool, see what’s playing at the cinema.
Head to your accommodation for a rest and a freshen-up before visiting one of the local pubs or clubs for a hearty dinner in the beer garden or bistro.
Up and at ‘em, starting with a big breakfast at a Mulwala café. Fuel up on fresh local produce for a day of exploring. After breakfast, take an easy half-hour drive across to Corowa and hire a bike from the Corowa SportsPower. Make sure you pick up a copy of the Walking and Cycling Trails from the Corowa Visitor Information Centre then cruise the region enjoying the natural and historical sights. There are trails to suit all levels of fitness and all ages of riders.
Pay a visit to Corowa Distilling Co for lunch. Tours, samples and snacks are sure to keep your whole gang happy in their striking 1920s Corowa Flour Mill building. It’s a fun-packed way to round off your Mulwala getaway, or prime you for ongoing adventures in the region.
Then it’s time to return the bikes and head back to base and spend some time enjoying the activities in provided in the caravan park.
