Granthams Bend is what Murray River Camping is about. Set on a sweeping bend of the Murray River near Corowa, it is a large reserve, great for walking and bird watching. The beautiful flat open shoreline and sandy beaches make it a perfect swimming, day trip or camping spot. Just minutes from Corowa, you have the best of both worlds. There is generally good access although a four wheel drive is recommended for anything but the main access roads.
How to get there from Corowa Visitor Information Centre:
Take Riesling St to Honour Avenue, turn left onto Short Street, turn left onto Honour Avenue, at the roundabout take the forth exit to remain on Honour Avenue (2km). At the roundabout take the second exit onto Federation way (900m), just after crossing the Federation Bridge take the turn-off to the left signposted Granthams Bend Reserve. This access road proceeds 300m to enter the forests with dispersed bush camping along the river.
