These titles move from State to State each year, having been conducted in Adelaide 2017, Gold Coast 2018, Shepparton 2019 and Busselton 2020 and now Swan Hill in 2022.
The Australian Teams’ Trophy is contested each year by all the states, this usually includes international teams from New Zealand, Japan and any other countries who wish to enter. Averages are kept for the entire state’s performances throughout the week, and the winning team is the one with the highest aggregate.
The Teams’ week consists of friendly rivalry and is a really good chance to get to know players from our own state as well as the other players who participate. Each state has a “State Dinner” on one of the nights during the week, with both ‘old’ and ‘new’ representatives joining in a spirit of fun and camaraderie.
Teams of at least four players are organised by each state’s Selectors and compete in up to two timeslots per day. Age groups are defined in five or 10-year increments depending upon the number of entries for Men and Women.
