See delicious cheese being made at Locheilan Farmhouse Cheese from their own cows milk, produced here on the farm.
View cheese making, taste and talk to the cheese maker about her methods and what is involved in making all the different varieties of cheese.
View through the windows where you may see Cheshire cheese being pressed, white mould cheeses being wrapped or brined, blue cheese maturing or just the general process of pasteurisation, and the way that they make cheese in small basseins traditionally the same as cheese has been made for centuries in Europe.
Locheilan Farmhouse Cheese is a small factory where the owners, The Lawless Family make cheese using traditional philosophy and methods along with another cheese maker.
This factory is probably one of the smallest factories in Victoria, although despite their size, Locheilan Farmhouse Cheese has won many medals for their cheeses.
They have won four gold medals for Kaarimba Soft, their a beautiful creamy brie style cheese. They have also won two gold medals for their Fetta, another for their triple cream indulgent soft cheese, a silver for the Cheshire style.
