Forests

For those wanting to explore the great outdoors and capture the real beauty of the mighty Murray River.

Then a visit to the Nyah-Vinifera Park is a must see item while you are in the Swan Hill region.

Just 20 minutes’ drive north of Swan Hill, the Nyah-Vinifera Park covers an area of around 1,000 hectares of pristine nature including century old red gums, beautiful billabongs and lagoons, all alongside the banks of Murray River. A key feature of these reserves is the track which acts as the ‘spine’ of the forest, with distinct features branching off the track along the way.

These features include wonderful camping sites, fishing spots, watering holes as well as key Aboriginal historical sites from the Wadi Wadi people such as canoe trees and middens. Look out, as the forests abounds with an abundance of wildlife.

Stroll through the forests and enjoy a picnic by the river.
