The Murray is an iconic river. To see its changing face as it flows from Howlong, past Corowa, and into Lake Mulwala, is to glimpse a gentle, ever-changing reflection of the region as a whole.
The Murray is a living river, and the lifeblood of many of our communities. Across seasons and along more than 175 kilometres of river frontage, it’s easy to slow down, go with the flow and experience simple natural beauty.
There’s summer splashing on the shore, the quiet wait for a cod to bite from a boat in a gentle river bend, the power of jetski's and waterskiing on a glass-surfaced lake, the unique sound of birdsong from a canoe or kayak, or just a memorable sunset barbecue with the family at a riverside picnic spot.
The Murray is for us all to enjoy, and its path through our beautiful region gives everyone the opportunity to enjoy it in their own way.
