The best of country bowls

If lawn bowls tickles your fancy, you’re in luck!

If lawn bowls tickles your fancy, you’re in luck! North of the Murray, the towns of Corowa, Howlong and Mulwala are renowned for their excellent bowling facilities, with superbly manicured greens that will challenge even the most discerning players.

The tabletop-smooth greens at the Corowa Civic Bowls Club were the venue for high-stakes bowls action in the hit comedy movie “Crackerjack”; take time out to roll one down here in the lovey surrounds of this quintessential country bowls club. In town, visitors are also welcome at the friendly Corowa RSL Bowls Club.

In Howlong, the stunning Howlong Golf Resort is home to two well-kept greens. Join in a competition or opt for social or barefoot bowls with friends, family or locals. Club Mulwala is also a bowls hotspot, with visitors welcome year-round.

Check clubs for details of twilight social bowling over the summer months. These events are welcoming, and provide an authentic glimpse into our proud, fun-loving regional communities.
