Markets

Local markets

Surrounded by farmland producing the freshest and highest-quality produce available anywhere, markets draw locals and visitors alike. And it’s not just fresh produce; country-style art and crafts are also available.

Markets all year round

The Naponda Farmers Market is held on the second Saturday of the month in Waring Gardens. Expect wonderful bread, fruit and veggies, preserves and conserves – a great opportunity to pick up lunch and some treats for the weekend.

The Lions Community Market, also in the Waring Gardens, kicks off around 8:30am on the fourth Saturday of every month. This is a great place to pick up seedlings for your veggie patch and garden or find interesting collectables, clothing and jewellery.

Mother’s and Father’s Day markets

The popular Naponda Mother’s Day Fair (second Sunday in May) in Deniliquin is a great place to take mum to enjoy coffee, tea and cakes, and pick up a special gift. And don’t miss the Pretty Pine Father’s Day Market (first Sunday in September) at the Pretty Pine Recreation reserve, 20 minutes’ drive north of Deniliquin. This family fun day starts at 10am (dad needs a sleep in!) and features market stalls, machinery demonstrations, dog jump competition, kids’ activities and more.
