Pretty Pine

Dine with the locals

Only 20 minutes’ drive up the road from Deni, Pretty Pine is a small community with a big heart. It’s worth the short drive to visit the Pretty Pine pub; a historical building that was once the final stop on the Cobb and Co. route to Deniliquin from Hay.

These days, it serves up classic meals (pizza a specialty), cold drinks and friendly service in equal measure. With historical photos on the walls and friendly regulars, it’s a great place to relax over a couple of drinks.

As a stop-off, kids can run free at the Pretty Pine Rec Grounds, featuring a fun children’s playground, alongside the football oval and cricket pitch.

If you happen to be in the area in September, don’t miss the famous annual Pretty Pine Fathers’ Day Expo and Market on the first Sunday of the month: a truly vibrant community event that attracts several thousand visitors and is not to be missed.
