About More Info

The Log Cabin situated at Federation Park in Cobram is a preserved settler house with some exhibits inside the building. It is one of the original log homes made from large boxwood trees covered with a Bark Roof and has earthen floors.

The Log Cabin dates back to 1874 when Richard Moore Toms with his six sons left Colac in Western Victoria to settle on land three miles south of Yarrawonga in the northeast of the state.

If the Cabin is not open you can admire the wonderful exterior construction and take a peek at the interior exhibits through the windows.

Additional appointments or group viewing outside of normal opening hours can be arranged.
