Take a step back into the magic of yesteryear and discover long-forgotten trades and craftsmanship.

This special Forgotten Trades Festival event will showcase a variety of skills and practices that many may not have seen for decades.

For one day only, visitors to Jindera can witness some rarely seen skills in action with men and women at work showcasing their long-held craft. These can include but are not limited to, shingle making, blacksmithing, knife craft, shoe making, stone masonry, dry stone walling, harness restoration and furniture construction.

The event comes to life within the two acres of fabulous gardens, grounds and exhibits at the museum which is located in the heart of the Jindera township.

Enjoy an enlightening day out and take advantage of a variety of food trucks, a bar serving a range of local wines and other refreshments and live entertainment.

This event is sure to be an eye-opener for old and young alike and a great opportunity to share with the family an insight into bygone days.

Enjoy the delightful shaded grounds at your leisure and then stroll through the museum's many exhibits, including the new Working Machinery space.

The full program is continually developing and other events are expected to be added to this wonderful day.
