Contact Mungo Visitor Centre

Stop at Mungo Visitor Centre, located near the entry to Lake Mungo, for excellent displays and free tourist information before exploring. You can also join a Willandra Lakes guided tour here.

Find out more about this area's important Aboriginal cultural heritage and significance. Learn about the rich archeological evidence, megafauna, the once-full Lake Mungo, and the park's unique landscapes.

The visitor centre may be staffed for short periods during school holidays, when rangers from the region's 3 Aboriginal groups lead guided tours. Why not try the 2.5 hour tag-along tour to the Walls of China? Or, pick up the free brochure 'Driving the Mungo Story' from the centre to follow a self-guided driving tour.

Take advantage of the picnic, barbecue and toilet facilities here before exploring Mungo National Park.

**To keep visitors safe ALL camping in NSW national parks now requires a booking. For day visitors, please plan ahead and visit outside of peak periods (11am and 2pm). Check park alerts and visit COVID-19 updates for more information before visiting any park – **
