Planning your next holiday in The Murray? Loop in your visit with these nine events perfect for the whole family.

From ice skating to creative performances, festivals, rides and plenty of activities to keep everyone entertained.

Round up your family and friends, hit the road and make memories in The Murray this winter season.

1. Give the performance of your dreams

Got a mini performer on your hands? Kids Gallery: Chromakinda by Mikala Dwyer at the Murray Art Museum Albury (MAMA) may just be for you.

Join in on the fun, open daily until Friday 30 June at the immersive installation created by Mikala Dwyer inviting children to activate their imaginations and learn through play and performance. Find costumes to choose from for adults and kids, a performance stage and chalkboard portals for drawing.

Keep your little one’s imagination flowing and continue the adventure through the museum with the Kids Activity Trail, perfect for families who love hide and seek, puzzles, and creative games.

2. Prepare yourself for a smelly tale

Watch as David Walliams award-winning book ‘Mr Stink’ comes to life on stage at The Cube Wodonga on Tuesday 20 June.

CDP Kids presents Mr Stink all starts when Chloe, just about the loneliest girl in the world, makes friends with Mr Stink. Sure, he smells a bit, but he’s the only person who’s ever been nice to her. So, when Mr Stink needs a place to stay, Chloe decides to hide him in the garden shed.

Hold your nose and prepare yourself for a hilarious, touching, and memorable tale!

3. Experience the thrill of ice skating

Lace up some skates and glide across the ice at Moama Lights special outdoor ice skating rink in Moama from Saturday 24 June until Sunday 23 July.

Located in a prime position and surrounded by the dazzling Moama Lights festival the rink is open during the day and night with varying sessions for everyone.

Come and experience the joy of gliding across the ice while surrounded by the beautiful Moama Lights Festival atmosphere. Embrace the winter season, rug up and hit the ice with family and friends for a memorable outdoor experience, for beginners to seasoned ice skaters.

4. Experience the magic of Disney

Join Elsa, Olaf, Anna and Sven live on stage for Disney's Frozen Jr. at The Albury Entertainment Centre across three magical days, Friday 23, Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 June.

Based on the 2018 Broadway musical, Frozen Jr. brings the mystical land of Arendelle to life, featuring all your favourite songs from the animated film and five new songs written for the production. Loaded with magic adventure, and plenty of humor, Frozen Jr. is sure to thaw even the coldest heart with a beloved cast and lots of laughs.

5. Let the festivities begin

Get set for a whirlwind of fun at the Yarrawonga Mulwala Kids Festival located on Lake Mulwala’s foreshore from Saturday 1 July until Saturday 8 July.

Filled with activities, from live and interactive shows to team sports, movie marathons, performing artists and shows for all ages. Keep an eye out for the full program of activities and register your interest.

6. Try and contain your laughter

Guaranteed to make you ROFL (Roll on the Floor Laughing) join Rich and Matt for The Listies - Rolling on the Floor Laughing, a comedy extravaganza at the Swan Hill Town Hall Performing Arts Centre on Sunday 2 July.

The Listies tackle the most terrifyingly tortuous family situation of all - bed time! Rich and Matt (The Listies), are Australia’s maestros of kidult comedy, known for their insane, interactive, illogical and irreverent escapades.

7. Say hello to The Wiggles

Calling all Wiggles friends. You’ll want to snap up tickets fast to Hello! We're the Wiggles Live in Concert at The Albury Entertainment Centre on Wednesday 12 July.

Selling like ‘hot potatoes’, there’s never been a better time to see the world’s most popular children’s entertainment group live in concert with double the line up, double the fun. Get set to ready, steady, wiggle and sing and dance along to all your favourite songs.

8. Round up the family and head to the Wentworth Show

Embrace the country lifestyle and head to Wentworth for the annual Wentworth Show on Saturday 26 and 27 August.

Experiences horses in action, check out the sheep and wool displays, ute and shearing competitions, and watch the sheep and yard dog trials. There’ll even be a treasure hunt for the kids and the ever-popular animal nursery.

There’s plenty of competitions to get involved in or enjoy from the audience like the wearable art, art sculpture competitions, dog jumping and whip cracking as well as usual show rides, food vans, craft and produce stalls and food and wine tastings.
