Not far west of Tocumwal, is Pump Beach – sometimes called Pumps Beach or Pumps Bend. It’s not far off the Tuppal Rd, but is rarely crowded, despite the large number of camp spots. A place to relax and enjoy at any time of the year.
Pump's is a small beach, and while camping is allowed, it’s usually a quiet location, perfect for a small group to enjoy for an afternoon relaxing during a Murray River drive.
A huge lure to Pump Beach is the boat ramp, just the spot to launch watercraft and enjoy fishing or other watersports.
If you want something a bit more social and stimulating, head east for Breens Beach – bigger, busier and sandier. You’re also not far from magnificent forest beaches like Carters Beach and the string of smaller beaches west along this fabulous stretch of the Murray.
